Games Portfolio

Hi, I'm Bruno Santos Araújo, I'm a computer scientist with a Master’s degree and a game developer. I've worked on games for VR, PC and consoles; also Android and WebGL on game jams.

Below are some of the games I worked on, with awesome folks. Except where indicated, all games were made with the Unity engine.

Professional games

Tin & Kuna (Black River Studios, 2020)

Tin & Kuna is a 3D puzzle platformer; I worked as a developer during the entire project, from the early prototypes to the final adjustments, implementing various subsystems for all platforms.

The game was published by Aksys Games and it is available on Steam, PlayStation 4, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch.

Conflict 0: Shattered (Black River Studios, 2018)

Conflict 0: Shattered is a VR Adventure/First Person Shooter; I worked as a developer on the port for the Windows Mixed Reality platform, implementing input support and some gameplay adjustments for the platform.

Collective, Jam and Personal Games

RGBlues (PxlSquad, 2017)

RGBlues is a mobile musical puzzle game which was initially developed for the Global Game Jam 2017, which theme was "waves", and some time later improved and launched for Android platforms. I was the sole programmer and one of the game designers for the jam and the published version.

You can download it on Google Play and also see the initial version submitted to the Global Game Jam 2017 (January 20th - 22th) here. I've written a blog post about one of its aspects: How RGBlues level editor was designed.

Kuarup (PxlSquad, 2017)

Kuarup is a mobile puzzle game which was initially developed for the Global Game Jam 2016, which theme was "ritual", and in 2017 improved and launched for Android platforms. I worked as a developer and game designer for the jam and the published version.

You can download it on Google Play and also see the initial version submitted to the Global Game Jam 2016 (January 29th - 31th) here.

Bright Light Escape (Personal, 2022)

Bright Light Escape is a side-scroller space shooter game developed in the Unity Engine intended to be played in about one minute, with a small ending cutscene. I did the code and game design, using assets from this game template and music from this music pack.

Tomato Hunter (PxlSquad, 2016)

Tomato Hunter is a retro-inspired action game made for the GBJam 5 (October 1st-10th, 2016), and I was the programmer and story writer. Below is a snippet of the story:

Without tomatoes, there is no ketchup. And french fries are pointless without ketchup. After years of searching for tomatoes and eating tasteless fries, Tomato Hunter finally found the legendary lab that seems to have tomatoes.

Tiny Terror (PxlSquad, 2018)

Tiny Terror is a retro-inspired action game made for the GBJam 6 (August 18th-27th, 2018), and I worked as the programmer and story writer. In the game you control a necromancer who must battle hordes of soldiers using magic spells and raising an army of skeletons.
